three weeks in Africa
In May 2017 I found myself on a plane to Windhoek with a rough idea of what I and my Australian friends were getting ourselves into, but not a clue about what it was going to feel like. Seeing the African continent for the first time was hard to put into words… the beautiful people on the streets of Zambia, the wild animals of Botswana and the breathtaking nothingness of the Namibian desert, they are all sublime. We got lost, always got up at 4am for sunrise, flatted our last good tire 5 hours from the nearest town, and for a good week didn’t know what time or day it was. We were out there and it was amazing. Enjoy and remember to get out of your comfort zone, too.
