Red Bull Kop over Kop is a 100km team time trail with a twist: there's only one ride at the start of the race, but every 20km a new team member joins. Each of the 200 teams does their best to reach the finish in the shortest time possible, with the clock stopping when all five members have crossed the line. We followed one team during their training and the race itself.
The main event shoot was only 2,5 hours and with a subject that was out of our control, meticulous planning and good communication between the crew was crucial for success. A week beforehand we had a full day with ‘our team’ where we could direct the action, making it possible to get a good mix of footage for the final clip. There were 2 cameras and a drone on set on both days, with the majority of the action shot from cars and motorcycles.
